Teething trouble or illness?

My baby is nearly 6 months old and is teething. Lots of crying, easily upset, not sleeping well, etc. Today she has done 8 poos (normally 2 or 3 in a day) and been particularly tearful, with bouts of inconsolable sobbing which break my heart. Is tummy trouble normal when teething? What were your experiences? Some of the poos have been quite green but I read online that that is not necessarily a worrying thing. We have tried teething toys, two different teething gels (they didn't seem to make a difference) and good old Calpol when she's been particularly bad which does seem to help.

I remember a HV once telling me “no one gets very excited about green poo”. But 8 times a day is a lot. If she poos a lot today I would call GP. If not then hopefully she’s over the worst of it.

What was the outcome?

Green poop is fine it depends on consistency. My DS1 used to poop 8 times a day and had green poop until guppy on solids around 8/10 months.
