Fever - has anyone had a fever for longer than 10 days?

Currently in bed with a fever which I have had now for 10 days. It is around 39 degrees. Aching body and headache, but not particularly fatigued. Dry hacking cough in the last 4 days.
Anyone else? Any ideas?
Doctor's have said possibly atypical pneumonia but I might be pregnant so i do not want to get the x-ray just yet..

My mum had similar about 6 weeks ago. It was atypical pneumonia. She was proper poorly, but recovered with antibiotics. Still regaining strength etc.
