Pleurisy...

I was diagnosed with chest infection and pleurisy about 2 weeks ago, after 3rd lot of antibiotics started to feel better but 2 weeks later I still have a very chesty cough, lots of phlegm and my back/chest feels around breast area on the right is agony when I cough - which I'm doing lots of, move or deep breathe.

Can anyone advise how long it lasted for when they had pleurisy. I'm sure I've probably strained a muscle too with all the coughing. I'm wondering if I should go back to the Gp tomorrow.

I had pleurisy. I was a teacher and I was off school for 3 weeks and probably should have been off for longer. It’s quite a serious condition. I was very susceptible to laryngitis for a couple of years afterwards.

I only had a week off and then went back to work and I know I wasn't fully recovered, in fact still feeling really rough, went back for 3 days and back off again. I think I've rushed going back to soon and it's not helped
