What's wrong with me??

I've had a high temperature for two weeks now with the usual accompanying flu symptoms (fatigue, aches, brain fog) and I just can't shake it off. What on earth is wrong with me? It's really affecting my ability to work.

I know the answer is to go to the GP but I tried to get an appointment last week and failed!

Covid perhaps? That sounds miserable. Are you drinking enough? Are your work being understanding?

Tel12 · 19/10/2024 22:30

My friend had COVID with these symptoms. Did you test?

Scutterbug · 19/10/2024 22:34

I also think Covid.

rubyslipperss · 19/10/2024 23:06

Can you go to a walk in centre ?

StacieBenson · 19/10/2024 23:07

So I also thought Covid, but did a test that came up negative around Day 11. Work have been ok so far but things are definitely slipping and I think they are going to start asking questions. Sad

I think some viruses just take longer to be beaten. Is there any chance you’ve developed a secondary Chest infection?

StacieBenson · 19/10/2024 23:25

I think it's unlikely I've developed a chest infection but couldn't completely rule it out - I'm a bit breathless but I don't have any pain when breathing.

But by day 11 it would be negative anyway surely?

Unexpectedlysinglemum · 19/10/2024 23:28

I think it's flu

Potentially yes - I honestly can't remember how long the tests stay positive for. I probably left it too long to test but I didn't feel that bad in the first few days. It's got worse as it's gone on.

I've felt fatigued and nauseous since last Monday. It's ongoing and I have what feels like stiff shoulders and upper back. No idea what's wrong with me.
