Help, chilli 🌶

I did something stupid, I cut chilli with no gloves on, it's been hours and my left hand is still on fire, I already had really dry cracked hands from my job, so I suspect it's gotten in all the sore cracks in my skin, I've tried soaking in milk, aloe Vera gel, washing with olive oil, lemon juice, fairy washing up liquid, baking soda paste and even ketchup. Everything I've found online. Does anyone else have any tips, it's so painful. No comments about how stupid it was please, I'm well aware

The first thing that came into my mind was plain ice cold yogurt. I seem to remember that it is often used for irritations down below, so it might help.

Otherwise a burn bandage/dressing from the pharmacy might help too.

Thank you, I've sent DH to the shop, fingers crossed those work 🤞

No guarantees OP, but I'd definitely get a burn dressing at some point, they are impregnated with something or other to soothe burns. Pharmacy will advise more.

As for the yogurt, if it works, great, if it doesn't you can eat the rest of it!

I did this years ago, awful! I tried so many things too. Ended up filling a glove with butter and olive oil. Held into an ice block wrapped in a tea towel to get to sleep.
