Shoulder pain and lump

I have been suffering some degree of shoulder and neck pain for more than a year and also have a soft swollen area on my shoulder just above my collar bone. I mostly put it down to lifting my toddler and her still liking to fall asleep on my chest before transferring to the cot (she’s getting a bit big for this now!). It certainly got much worse when she was quite sick for a week and would only sleep on me just like a newborn.

Could it be anything else and is there anything to be done about it (other than reducing lifting DD)? Is it worth mentioning to a doctor or too trivial? If I wanted to see a physio would it have to be private?

Hi. Some surgeries have in house Physios so always worth trying there first. If not, your GP can refer you on to Musculoskeletal services. (Some may ask that the GP request imaging first) Also, in many areas you can self refer to NHS Physio. Search up your NHS trust and Physiotherapy to see if provided in your area. Hope soon resolved! ETA, of course, any lumps you are worried about should be checked by your GP. I rushed in with the physio stuff. Apologies.
