Last Wednesday my dog bit me on my lower stomach area (long story!).
There was only one small puncture area and it didn't really bleed at all but the next day this huge bruise came up. I contacted my GP surgery, they said I was up to date with my tetanus shots so all ok.
This week the bruising has started fading slightly but it's quite lumpy and bumpy underneath the area. I've never experienced this before but then again I've never had such a large bruise on my stomach area before either.
Could this be a hematoma? Do the lumps stay long after the bruising has vanished?
