Chalazion removal surgery

I have had a chalazion for over 2 weeks now, It is on the upper eyelid and it is really started to affect my confidence. I am booked in to have it removed privately by an ophthalmologist, I am wondering if anyone has had this operation before? What were your results like and how was the recovery? Feeling very apprehensive. To note, I am in my early 20s. Any advice is welcomed. Currently very miserable.

Yes I've had it done several years ago via the NHS. In and out after few hours. They inject skin around eye to numb it, then basically make small cut inside of eye lid (they clamp eye open) and scoop out the chalazion. Sound worse than it is, only a slightly uncomfortable feeling. Can't remember if I had drops for a few days but imagine so. Really happy with results, you'd never know I'd had one. Think had to keep patch on overnight too.
