Bartholin cyst - 3 in 6 months

As the title says I’ve probably had 3 cysts in 6 months roughly. Same spot. And each time they have gone on their own after a few days. I think because they aren’t massively painful I just sort of get on with it but the idea of this trend continuing makes me slightly anxious. They can definitely verge on being painful at times.

Are the cysts actually going away each time I think they are? I can see from google some people end up taking antibiotics for them (I’ve done the salty baths which I don’t think do much but feel nice). I know I should book a gp appointment but waits at my surgery are 3 weeks + and the cyst will likely be gone by then.

Have you been checked for diabetes? It can cause cysts & boils.

I’ve been diagnosed with something about recurring cysts as I have the same problem. The gp has prescribed me 3 months of antibs and said it should sort it. It’s called…. Hidradenitis suppurativa, never heard of it before and not sure if I’ve spelled that correctly!

Some cysts return because of the cyst sac, this may need removing. Have you discussed with GP?
