Rectocele recovery time?

Hi all. I’m to shortly have the day surgery for a rectocele prolapse. I’m interested in the recovery time as I have a seated occupation and think I could return to work in a short time. What is your experience of recovery time from this please?

Can't help you on the actual op, as I haven't had it (although following with interest as I also have a r prolapse but v mild... so far). However I recently had a small gynae ion under a general anaesthetic and the recovery from the GA was far more brutal than I expected. I felt fine within 36 hours for the pain but felt woozy and wrong for a week with the after effects. I didn't feel safe to drive until 9 days after. I went back to work after 5 days (also seated desk job) but the first day was too soon and it gave me a migraine.
