How can I help DS (11mo) cold symptoms?

DS and I are both sick with the same thing. It's now moved into my throat, very sore, a bit croaky and going phlegmy. How can I help alleviate DS' symptoms, presuming his will follow the same as mine? I have given him a bit of calpol in case of fever, aches, is there anything else I can give him for the throat issues? (he seemed to like my lemon/honey/whiskey drink, then remembered about the honey issue , not to mention the whiskey)

medised is great if they are bunged up as helps aid restful sleep and helps with breathing and sometimes find baby neurofen works better than calpol

Agree with the baby Nurofen - it will help relieve the inflammation in his throat. Don't forget some for you too!
