Hello all
My husband is 45 and in what I believe is good health. He’s 5’10, has a 38inch waist. His weight is evenly distributed so he looks fairly lean. He exercises regularly.
He does not drink alcohol or smoke.
He works in a high stress profession, but generally doesn’t show signs of huge stress.
At the weekends he can sleep all night no problem. Saturday I woke him up at 7.30am as we had to take his car to the garage. Sunday I let him sleep in until 10am as he’s been struggling. I woke him up at 10am as we had to go out.
BUT In the week, he’s up at 4-4.30am and unable to sleep. Last night we went to bed a little earlier to try to accommodate this, at 10pm and he ended up waking up at 3am, unable to rest.
This has been going on for about a month. He’s so exhausted around tea time, but the last few days has been trying not to snooze on the sofa, just incase that was causing it.
He doesn’t know if he’s stressing over the job. I asked what he thinks about when he’s awake and he said that he was wondering where the film Speak No Evil was filmed as the locations were so beautiful.
He’s going to the GP today. But I wondered will they give him medicine to help? I am starting to worry about him especially driving.
Im dreading him coming home and saying he’s been put on a waiting list for CPD or advised about lifestyle changes or sleep position.
Just to add, he’s not asleep between 10 and 3. He takes a little while to drop off and then will get up to use the loo. He also has sciatica which plays up periodically, although we make sure he doesn’t sleep on that side.
Thank you.
