Pessary

An older relative has a severe longstanding prolapse and has been advised to have a hysterectomy. GP fitted a pessary in the meantime. A week after that she developed urinary urgency and incontinence, lower back pain, and bowel issues. Could this be caused by the pessary? None of this was present pre-pessary.
