Blocked saliva duct

Has anyone had this and managed to unblock it? My jaw keeps suddenly swelling then going back to normal. Had gone back down when I spoke to the doctor but swelled again after eating so I'm pretty sure this is what it is. Looking for any reassuring stories/tips to sort it!

Yes, I did this by eating a whole coconut. (They’re v fibrous apparently!) I was told to suck boiled sweets and drink lots. After about 2 days it resolved completely. Hope it’s sorted soon!

Sorry, to be clear: coconut blocked the duct, lots of fluids and boiled sweets resolved it.

Hello... I've had this really bad and mild. It does recur from time to time. I do massage it on the side of my face and it tends to go down. I have attended maxillo facial clinics to check there was not any stones blocking my saliva ducts. I once had it really bad, huge swelling and that is when I took it further.

I can highly recommend lemon sherbets, the sourness of them usually sorts it if it's mild.

Amazing, thank you all. It's quite freaky when it happens!!
