Chub Rub

I've recently been in Hospital first time for 5 nights for a severe skin condition and then last week a skin rash on my arms and legs also neck pain, headaches and a water infection. When I was in Hospital my tops of legs were hurting so much and burning and swollen, I just assumed chub rub, as I am overweight and have put a lot of weight on recently. I did end up asking my consultant who said inflammation. Maybe she was just being polite instead of saying chub rub. They hurt so so much. I'll try to attach some pictures and I think it shows some of the rash too. I had a look on Google and there can be reasons like Lipedema and other things but I'm just fat and have chub rub I assume. Any ideas - even if yes your fat you've got chub rub. My goodness they Hurt so much and just the area feels so painful and like it has fluid. Thankyou replies appreciated.

That’s not chub rub.

”Chub rub” is where the tops of your inner thighs rub together and get sore, it doesn’t spread elsewhere.

it looks sore op, hope you feel better soon.

I agree that is not chub rub. Seems more like lipodema to me, I would encourage you to go back to the GP or your pharmacist and go from there. Keep your legs elevated as much as possible and stay hydrated for now.

Thankyou so much for your replies. I reported my post so the photos are sensitive content now and my ugly legs aren't jumping out at the screen at everyone. Thankyou so much @Donotgogentle and @allaboutthat yes they are very painful and sore they feel full of fluid but I am overweight and have put a lot of weight on and felt very embarrased that i just get told your overweight, it's chub rub. I did ask my consultant and she just said it's inflammation I have going on in me, but they are so very sore and i wondered if it could be anything else. Thankyou.

Please stop being so mean to yourself. Would you tell someone else they had "ugly legs"? No. So stop telling yourself that you do

@POTC Thankyou
