Bump to head - advice needed

Should you always seek medical advice after a bump to the head? After effects - headache and sickness, which I would have thought are to be expected.

It depends, not always no. But vomiting after a bang to the head is a 'red flag' symptom so if this is the case for this person then yes, I would get them checked out. Any more details?

Thank you.
Fall into tiled floor, bump and bruising. Generally feeling a bit unwell but no actual sickness. Just achy and tired.
I’m thinking best to review in 24 hours.

Medical or mechanical fall? I mean - were they unwell/passed out and that caused the fall, or was it a trip when otherwise well?

If they've actually vomited I'd be inclined to get them checked either way.

Age probably a factor too. For myself, review in 24 hours probably fine, for the kids or my parents, I'd at least call 111. If they'd vomited.

Sorry I couldn't get back to my phone earlier. If headache not worsening, no vomiting, no drowsiness or confusion/unusual behaviour or memory loss then it's probably ok but if it's a small child, elderly person or someone with other health problems then best to call 111. Or if there is any question as to how the fall occurred, such as was it a simple trip or slip, or did they collapse. If there is any uncertainty then again I would get them checked out.
