Where to go next - elevated GGT liver value

I have had steadily increasing GGT values (all other liver values within normal range) for a year now. I rarely drink alcohol, am healthy weight etc. Had an ultrasound a few months ago which showed possible polyp/gallstone (there was some sludge in gallbladder so they weren't sure which it was) but as I'm not having any gallbladder issues we've agreed to rescan in six months and see how things are.

I've also been getting some low, sharp abdominal pain with cloudy urine - every month or two lasting a few days. After this happened a few times went to GP and they ran full blood count, tested kidneys, liver, urine sample, ovarian markers....all normal except liver values again (receptionist didn't tell me which but I assume GGT again) and to be retested in a month. When giving blood sample the nurse dipped my urine and said it showed small traces of blood so would send it off for further testing but apparently results were fine?

My question is where to go from here. I do think somethings up with my liver or related organs and it's not the gallbladder as pain I get is nowhere near that. I have no rigate health insurance through work but I'm not sure what specialist I even need to see. I will try and talk to my GP after next liver test but I just don't always feel reassured by their advice - they seem happy to just let the liver value increase for goodness knows how long when I feel that can't be great for my liver!

Thanks if you've read this far - any help appreciated Smile

I had raised GGT levels - caused by hair vitamins I was taking (I think it was some sea kelp/sea weed supplement). Only came up by chance as had no complaints. I don't drink, never smoked, healthy weight etc. Also had scan which revealed some grainy bits. Never needed any other checks.

I don't take any supplements other than vitamin D, B vitamins and magesium....don't think they could be causing this. It's the fact it keeps rising too, with every blood test they're higher again.
