Endo surgery recovery

Anyone had excision and how long was your recovery?
I'm waiting for an MDT meeting but the plan is to remove my large endometrioma, excise the endo (stage 4), separate my ovaries (kissing ovaries), and fit a mirena (adenomyosis)
It's a bit of a mess in there!

They're going to try and save my ovaries and everything else

I can't afford much time off work and wondering how long it would be before I'm ok to work. Desk job, can't move around once I'm working and I do 9hr days

I had laparoscopy, removal of endometrioma and division of adhesions between my colon/uterus and ovary/appendix

I had 3 weeks off afterwards (desk job but demanding and stressful). I probably could have gone back after 2 weeks if I'd had to

Thank you that's really helpful Smile I was hoping 2/3 weeks

I would say 3 weeks depending on your job. Your surgeon will advise you and give you a sick note after surgery, if you need longer off then your gp can extend the sick note.

Desk job, WFH. I basically sit and don't move except for my lunch/breaks! I can stand up but can't move around

You might be ok after 2 weeks if wfh, maybe sooner, but it completely depends on the individual, some people are up and about really quickly, others have a slower recovery.
