Appendix removal

Hey Are there any drs/nurses on. No panic just want to check it's not urgent. Had my appendix out three weeks ago and one wound was infected and has reopened thanks

Yes, it is urgent.

I'm ringing the drs tomorrow morning. I feel fine and I have taken the last antibiotic tonight. I've had sepsis so am paranoid. It's about a centimetre long half a centimetre wide and the wound has sunken but not obviously infected. If I can't get an appointment tomorrow I'm going to ring 111

If the wound itself is open then I’d be going to A&E. Not worth the risk of waiting

Do you have a point of contact for the ward that you were discharged from?

No just told I can go home no follow up required. I saw the emergency Dr who prescribed further antibiotics. I feel fine think I'm just paranoid because I have had sepsis before

I agree with PP. No messing about with infections OP. Sepsis can hit really fast. Call 111 now.
