Screening for bowel cancer?

Hi lovelies,

TMI WARNING!! Talking to leave me alone I’m not helping you

im currently 25 years old and wondered if any one has been screened for bowel cancer at a young age and everything’s come back okay.

back story: I had my twins 8 months ago and have had a dramatic in bowel habits since having them. I’ve had consistent diarrhoea and extremely soft and thin bowel movements since they were born. I only used to get diarrhoea when I was due on and on my period.

alongside the consistent diarrhoea I’ve had, consistent bloating, nausea, mucus in stool, change in colour of stool (from light to a darker colour) more frequent bowel movements, always tired, headaches all the time, anaemic, heart palpitations, I’ve tried changing my diet which hasn’t helped in the slightest. I’m being tested for bowel cancer and some inflammatory diseases too. Of course ever since she said bowel cancer I’ve kind of gone to freak out mode but I think and hope it’s something less sinister. Also trying not to Google as I don’t want to drive myself crazy

juat after some advice really…

If stool samples come back normal, ask to be blood tested for coeliacs disease next. It causes anemia and bowel problems plus fatigue, weight loss, acid reflux, headaches.

Congrats on your babies!

You says you're anaemic. Are you on iron tablets? That makes your poo darker.

Having a baby messes with your hormones.
You had diarrhoea when you had monthly hormonal changes.
Seems like that could be the cause now, hormones messed up after birth?

You do need to get it all checked out obviously but it could be that there are rational explanations for everything.
