I feel like a new person. I feel brighter, have more energy, smell better - my depression has even lifted and my outlook is more positive. I look better, am loosing pounds already.

I am also drinking loads of water and eating more fruit. It was so, so simple.

I am always amazed at the power of nutrition. I feel truly sorry for kids who are given no alternative other than crappy food. it must be seriously messing them up.

Hmmm. Refined carbs deffo on my list of favourite things. That would mean no bread then, or pasta?

I had cut out sugar and refined white flour etc and today have had a biscuit this morning and it is like a drug once i have some I can't stop so am back to square one tomorrow What do you eat day to day?

moodlum - not necessarily no bread or pasta - have brown instead.

I did Atkins a few years ago and felt fantastic. DH would like us to do it again as he likes it too.

Am planning on starting by cutting out crap and wheat.

Crush, did you cut out stuff like pasta, rice and potatoes too? Or was it just sweet stuff and bread?

I am trying to improve what I eat, and have started cutting out cakes, biscuits etc, but am still eating bread (wholemeal), rice and pasta.

Have cut all sweet stuff out for about 3 days now, and already feeling a bit better. Also having porridge for breakfast instead of other cereals, most of which have added sugar.

No I am not cutting out rice pasta and potatoes - I really need my carbs as like most of us my day is super busy and I don't want to end up lethargic or miserable. I just eat v small amounts of them which seems to be working.

Yes i am cutting out cereals, all condiments, just sweet stuff and bread.

Tbh I am not bothered about a few extra pounds, it is from how I feel and look that is my motivation.

I seem to be feeling better every day, having cut out anything with sugar in. Can't think why I didn't do it before, really.
