Hey there

woke up yesterday with slightly nippy pee, no other symptoms and was fine all day, similar today.
im in Greece, quite rural, with limited medical help. I get home on Thursday so in 48 hours and I love rigjt beside a chemise and they can give antibiotics for a uti (I’m in Scotland). Do you think I’m ok to wait till then?
nhs advice does say mild cystitis can wait a few days before seeking treatment and sometimes clears up itself… I just worry!

Have you had it before? How did it progress?
I know when I have it I go from a slight sting to peeing blood within about 4 hours, so always seek ABs as soon as possible. The thought f a flight with an untreated UTI, needing to pee every 20 mins would push me to seek help.

Currently don’t have the frequency symptom, just nippy urine at the moment.

I’m no expert but j have had times where I’ve had this and managed to stave it off by drinking loads and loads of water. So whatever you do definitely do that in the meantime

I would go to the local pharmacy where you are in Greece. Even small villages should have one. They will likely speak some English - they are usually very helpful. I hope you feel better soon.

Update - when to dr here and they gave me Trimethoprim however we are ttc and I’m scared to take it. Dr said it was safe and wouldn’t give anything else. Of course at this moment a baby is hypothetical I don’t even know if I’ve ovulated at this point. What should I do? Would my folic acid supplement help this?
