Spotty bottom rash and teething?

Son has top back molars coming through and is clearly suffering. He’s also got patches of red spots over his bottom. Is that typical with teething? I can’t remember if he had that with others and the internet doesn’t really give me any clarity

I do have photos with nothing other than the spots visible (you can see his nappy). Not sure if I am allowed to post that.

When they are teething they get an enzyme in their saliva that breaks the gums down to help the teeth get through. The enzyme is harsh on the bum skin too when it comes out the other end which is why teething babies get red bums! Treat with usual nappy rash cream etc.

Thank you. Really don’t want to be wasting a doctors appointment for something like that, jusT a bit of reassurance is good
