Insect bite just won’t heal - help!

Got bitten on holiday in Europe 3 weeks ago (was bitten 23 times in total but this one is hanging around horribly). On the front of my shin. It’s just won’t heal, scan keeps getting knocked off and it’s very tight pulled skin. It’s been this red and angry for 2 weeks now.
I’m on my second course of flucloxacillin. It’s much less painful when covered with some savlon but GP (who I saw this week) recommended I keep it uncovered. Red and slightly yellow fluid coming from it but can’t see any pus.
Any advice on what I should do next?

Depends how old school you want to go. I'd wonder if there is a bit of the sting or whatever of the insect in there. Honey blobbed under and kept under a waterproof dressing overnight will draw a lot of the water/serous fluid into it and worth a try

I thought 'wet healing' was more recommended now - ie covered with a dressing. Or just savlon if that helps. Can you take painkillers if it's sore? Manuka honey as pp said might help.

Get it swabbed. You may need different antibiotics.
I'd be worried that will ulcerate.
