It’s called Onycholysis - separation of the nail plate. It can be caused by, injury, fungus, chemicals, psoriasis and some medications. Most likely the chemicals in the nail product. You will have to wait for it to grow out, which might take a few weeks.

Sorry to jump on your thread but I've been worrying about my nail which has bent down at the tip quite a lot and looks clubbed...Google says it might be a sign of lung cancer? I had a pulmonary embolism months ago, is that the cause of this or is this showing my lungs are possibly still not right and I need another scan?
