Swollen gums

On Thursday night I was flossing my teeth and the floss was at the end of the packet and had gone quite thick and wavy so when I used it there was a feeling that it was hard to get between the teeth. I kept on using it but then yesterday and today around 3 teeth I have sore swollen gums. It hurt to eat food on that side yesterday and I hoped they would go down over out but they haven’t.

I’m guessing it’s from the floss being too rough so can anyone give any tips on what I should do/use to make them less sore?

I wouldn’t do anything different. Start flossing with a new pack (maybe have a day off or two if gums are really sore) and I reckon they will be back to normal in less than a week.

If you have a good sized pharmacy close by Oraldene really helps soothe gums.

Great thank you. I brought a new floss pack yesterday and then flossed last night but I wondered if that made them worse flossing again so I’ll give it a couple of days before I do.
