This cold....ears...funny smell ...kidney worry

So...I have had this awful bloody cold...achey sore throat for a week...bunged up head and blocked ear for a week then snot for a week so just over 3 weeks. Lost my smell. Now my smell is coming back slowly. I have a frightful cough and have antibiotics as the nurse thinks it's an infection. Still got a blocked ear. Thing is, I can smell something awful..like ammonia or something I can't quite place in my nose and my friend told me it can be a sign of kidney failure. I would have other signs right?

Sinus infection. Once you've finished your antibiotics course and the gunk is all out, you'll be back to normal.

Thanks never drop. I don't really have any face pain though which is odd. I hope it unblocks my ear and gets rid of this nose smell.. it's so distracting!
