Eyesight

Has anyone noticed a rapid deterioration in their eyesight over say 1-2 years?

Optician doesn't seem alarmed but both eyes were about +2.5 and now 1 of them has gone to +5.0 within 2 years.

I am late 40s. Perimenopausal but I realise this may be an age thing!

Thanks

It's common after the age of 40 although mine haven't changed by the same extent as yours. I also need extra added for reading

I just need glasses for driving/watching TV but finding I pretty much need to wear them all the time. Optician said I could buy low level near vision glasses at the moment for close work if I need it.

I know this sounds ridiculous but if I've been wearing glasses for a couple of hours, when I take them off my vision is far worse?

Then when I haven't got glasses on the worse eye seems to be really noticeably worse?

Hope that makes sense. I can't explain it very well.
