Insides feel sore

Probably first noticed very occasionally a couple of years ago but now it's way more often. Inside my belly feels sore, like if I could imagine how it looked it would be red and inflamed. The pain is also worse on having bowel or bladder movements.

I do also sometimes have urgency to open bowels or constipation, but not to any serious extent.

I should also mention that 10 years ago I had a total abdominal hysterectomy for stage 4 endometriosis. The surgery was lengthy and involved gynae, bladder and bowel surgeons and resulted in further major surgery to one of the tubes (forgotten the word) from my kidney to bladder. It was successfully repaired.
I should imagine my insides are a mass of scar tissue but other than this I've had no symptoms of the endo returning.

My dad also had inflammatory bowel disease so that may be relevant, although I don't remember him describing his pain as being like this.

I will be ringing the gp about this but it's really hard to get an appointment so thought I'd see if anyone had similar symptoms.

Obviously I can't diagnose anything but I have felt this and the other symptoms you described a few months back. I ended up getting pains bottom lower abdomen and I thought I had appendicitis. I went from being on the toilet all the time (hence the name!) to being constipated. I ended up in A & E and was diagnosed with Diverticulitis and spent a week in hospital. It's taken me until now to recover and tomorrow I have colonoscopy to see what's going on.
It started for me feeling bruised inside like you describe. I hope whatever is going on with you disappears quickly

Hey thanks for the reply. Sorry to hear you're having similar issues.

I will have a look at diverticulitis. Have they given you any treatment for it ?

Good luck for tomorrow x

Thank you. I really appreciate it. Sipping the horrible laxatives they gave me as I type..
I had antibiotics but largely I think it's drinking lots of water and keeping everything soft. Are you feeling unwell at all? I felt increasingly more ill in myself but was still shocked to hear I had a temperature and raised infection markers.
If I get a flare up I have to drink only clear fluids for a couple of days and avoid fibre. There's mixed advice about whether a high fibre diet helps or not.
Phone the GP and tell them about how you're feeling because they might need to get you in for a blood test.
I hope you feel better soon xx
