Is this cataracts?

I have a blurry patch in my vision, I’m the centre. It makes things look a bit misty, but it’s quite a small part of my overall view. It seems to be getting much more consistent but not bigger.
ive looked up what it could be, - it’s not floaters, I have those and this is different. Cataracts is described as blurry vision but is it possible it’s just in one patch?
I last had an eye test about ten months ago.
thanks

Might be. I’d go to the optometrist as soon as I could to get it checked out.

Do you take steroids for arthritis or any other condition?

I’ve just been to the opticians with exactly the same issue for the last month or so, and been told I have the start of a posterior sub-capsular cataract probably caused by the long term
steroids I take. They said it’s too immature to do anything at the moment and isn’t affecting my vision enough to warrant changing my lens prescription at the moment but, because they have now seen it, I need to have annual eye tests instead of every 2-3 years.

I would definitely book in with an optician and get it checked out as, if it is a PSC cataract, you’ll need to see the opticians more frequently.
