Diarrhoea for 4 days

Came home from holiday abroad Thursday morning, by Friday evening I didn't have a huge appetite, Saturday morning the diarrhoea started and it has continued ever since. I don't feel ill, no stomach pain, just a bit of minor cramping and swirly stomach before I need to go, which is mostly in the morning. No real appetite, although I'm making myself eat small amounts of banana, plain white rice etc. What can this be? I'm never ill and have the constitution of an ox normally, so this is really alarming me.

I have this too. I came home from France and have had stomach cramps and diarrhoea for now 3 days.

I also had a horrendous cold in France that lasted 2 days and then suddenly disappeared- just left with a bit of a stuffy nose and cough - my voice went when I got back also but then the cramps and such started.

I've been told that covid is presenting like this now, but additionally could be something to do with your body adjusting again I.e travellers diarrhoea

How funny, I was in Spain and also had the cold for a few days before this started - mostly a sore throat, but also the usual sneezing and general wooziness. I've taken three covid tests though and all negative, so definitely not that.

I never get ill like this, but I suppose it only takes one dodgy prawn or being with hundreds of people in an airport to let the microbes in. Now on day 5. Don't know at what point to see the GP.

Yeah, someone was saying that as soon as it's on the plane then you are fucked. I've also taken a covid test and tested negative. My head feels really heavy and I've a mild headache also. I've taken Imodium which seems to have helped with the cramps / diarrhoea.

I can't tell if it's travellers diarrhoea or a virus. I drank the tap water not even thinking about it to be honest so that's probably not helped.

I'm the same, I wouldn't know when to go to the Dr's either, I think I'd go maybe a week in and it not getting any better personally

I had the heavy head and mild headache at the tail end of the cold stage last weekend, but everything else fine now except the diarrhoea and lack of appetite. I can't actually believe how little I'm eating and still functioning.

I think if it's a bug you're maybe not meant to take Imodium as it keeps everything in instead of flushing it out, but who knows really. Day 6 here, so if still ongoing tomorrow I might call the GP rather than wait a whole weekend more.

Let me know how it goes at the Dr if you do go. Mine has eased up a little at the moment. The odd cramp here and there but I had a bowel movement earlier today and it was firmer - just the colour slightly off which I will keep an eye on.

Headache has gone now and I felt a bitter better physically today

I've had diarrhea this morning and yesterday, started feeling ill Tuesday night, and last couple of days been awful, painful stomach cramps, temperature, shivering then sweating. Horrendous headache, no appetite, leg cramps. Still feeling weak and shaky. Haven't been abroad though.

If you are otherwise healthy and no other problems im not sure the dr will do anything after 5 days of diarrhoea, especially after being on holiday

Also, Diarrhoea is a common symptom of Covid

Hi !

I made an appt at the Dr today (just a phone consultation to explain what was happening with my private GP) she suspected gastroenteritis. Mine is much better day 4, so I hope yours gets better soon 🙏
