tips please! no milk or solids fto be given to 8mo baby for 24 hours

dd2 had sickness and diarrhoea bug last monday. i starved her for 24 hours then - only water given. the sickness cleared up but the diarrhoea stayed.

just been back to gp - to 'starve' her for 24 hours from last episode of diarrhoea. can give water and rehydration powders.

she loves her milk and food - how do we get through the next day or so on only water! and especially bed time.....

is she bf? if so i'd probably carry on with feeds.

nope - she's on formula

gp thinks it's the lining of her intestines that's irritated now rather than still thE bug'. so everything is just pASSing through rather than being absorbed.
