Anyone taking Cerazet mini pill?

I'm in Germany and have just picked up my prescription for this (first time). Unless I meticulously type in the instructions on a translation website, I won't have a clue how to take this. Can anyone tell me, short and sweet, what to do?
Is it like the Microgynon I used to take ie. same time of day every day? etc.
Thanks

You don't have to take it at the same time. You have a 12 hour window in which to take it - in this respect it is easier than the older mini-pills.

Oh grrrrrrrrrrrrrreat. Only had my baby 8 weeks ago and just finishing those hormonal downers. Don't tell me it's going to continue? I've been hell to live with the last two months - my DH is going to go spare!

Start taking it on first day of your next period, or start it immediately if BFing.

Take one pill each day within the same 12-hour window. If you miss one and it is past the 12 hours, take it whenever you remember, take the remaining pills at your usual time but use extra contraception for 2 days.

Never take a break between packs, start the next pack the day after you finish the previous one. You may get some irregular spotting or no periods at all after a couple of months- don't worry, this is normal.

Most women don't get any problems with mood disturbances on cerazette, but take care if you have had depression previously and i you experience any problems, see your GP.

Have been taking it for a few weeks and have experienced no depression. Just thought it might make you feel better to hear a positive experience, as there was a thread recently that was very negative and nearly put me off starting it (I'd just been prescribed it).

i started this couple of weeks ago as i bf and dd is 12 weeks and i have got my bloody period! Have been fine though i was on mercilon before dd so tend to find the pill agrees with me. Apparantly can cause irregular bleeding though.

bubblagirl · 21/04/2008 16:42

i'm on cerazette pill best pill ive ever had as suffered with heavy painful bleeds since i was 15 so 13 yrs and i feel great on them

you take it within same time or up to 3 hrs difference continue taking it every day if missed over 12 hrs then extra precaution is needed for a week

within 12 hrs is normaly ok but i still use extra just in case

takes up to 3 months to stop your periods although mine were very heavy took 5 months for mine to stop

there has been scare stories of it being linked with depression so do monitor how your feeling

I am taking this pill, and had some problems at first with iregular bleeding, but now my periods seem to have stopped & I have no problems with it.

Take your first pill on the first day of your period, then take one around the same time each day.( You don't have any breaks on this pill) You have a 12 hour window with this pill, unlike many other mini pills, which only give you 3 hours.

I was on Cerazette for 3 months and got severely depressed. It was only when I stopped taking it that I realised how bad I felt. Sorry to be negative, but it's worth knowing this.

My friend takes it and she's absolutely fine with it. The only problem she's had is some minor weight gain.

Pinkchampagne · 21/04/2008 19:27

I have had no weight gain at all while on this pill - infact I weigh less now than I did before I started taking it. That may be due to the extra exercise though!

Seona1973 · 21/04/2008 19:51

I had 1 period just after starting this pill and have not had one for several months now. I have had no problems with depression even though I had some PND after the birth of my dd (now 4). I have also lost some weight while on this pill whereas with my previous one (femulen) I felt hungry all the time. You take it at the same time every day but if you forget you have up to 12 hours to take it rather than the usual 3 hours with other mini-pills.
