I contracted gonorrhoea and was diagnosed with PID during a pelvic exam nearly two weeks ago. I was given an antibiotic injection for the gonorrhea and started on a 2 week course of doxycycline and metronidazole for the PID. It's day 12 of the treatment, and I'm feeling worse than before. I have a frequent urge to wee and back and pelvic pain. The Dr I saw a week ago said that symptoms of PID can extend beyond the antibiotic time frame, but online, it says you should usually start to feel better within three days of starting them. Is it unusual that I am still in pain with this? Thanks in advance x
