The never ending mystery virus!!!

I started a month ago with a mucous cough, then a fever, then terrible sinus pain and very bad mucous cough so has antibiotics. Not really made a difference, my head and face feel full, my nose is constantly running, my ears are ringing, my cough is still there.
I now have a huge cold sore and what feels like a tummy bug with D, so sorry for the info. I’m also really weak and shaky. I just feel so crap and it’s been so long 😭
has anyone else had this! Back to the gp tomorrow for the 4th time

I have exactly the same thing! I'm in week 4 now and I'm physically and mentally exhausted with feeling ill 🤧

Yes....me... can't hear anything and I feel like I have been gassed in my head. Exhausted. Cough wet and drowning. Almost 4 weeks possibly...might be 3. What is this?

Any juddering or odd sound effect to the cough? Could it be 100 day cough?

Is that the same as whooping cough? The 3 different GP’s I’ve seen during this illness have all said it didn’t sound like that. I’m definitely going back tomorrow, my cold sore is absolutely huge and the most painful one I’ve ever had, no appetite, feel sick and been to the loo so many times. Honestly had enough now!

I ammore worried about the fact my one year old kissed me on the lips before I realised I had a cold sore! 😩

It’s awful isn’t it. Ive had tinnitus since being pregnant with my now one year old but it’s now on another level with all the mucous in my head… TMI but the amount of stuff I have coughed up and blown out of my nose is unbelievable. I just can’t believe how long is lasted, I first went to the doctors on the 25th of august!!!

Yes I felt worried as it seems to be only my daughter and I that have this around us. The only thing I can think of is we did have whooping cough Oct/Nov/Dec last year. It was awful....I wonder if this is a cold that is somehow bad because of that. I think I remember reading subsequent illness can be awful after whooping cough. Did any of you have a very long cough with awful sticky phlegm last year?!!! Other than that it is just something very grim that goes on and bloody on. I keep thinking of next Friday I will feel better and can do blah de blah and that Friday rolls around and I feel almost worse. I am using a neti pot and saline to rinse my sinuses. I can intermittently smell essential oils yesterday and today which is progress!
