Sharp pain under left breast

I’ve been getting this pain ever since I was a teenager and I’m now 38, so I’m inclined not to worry about it. However it used to happen once or twice a year out of the blue, whereas in the past two weeks it is happening every day for a few minutes and I’m now more curious to know what it is.

It is a sharp pain directly under my left breast, it takes my breath away when it happens and worsens with breathing so I have to take shallow breaths until it goes. Occasionally it radiates to the left side of my neck. It lasts a couple of minutes and I have to stop what I’m doing while it is happening.

Is this just a regular part of life, does everyone else get this?

Yes but mine is directly linked to some weirdness involving the underwire in my bra and catching on muscle (more likely fat) or something under my boob. Happens rarely, fucking hurts.

@Makelikeatreeandleaf thanks for replying, I wonder if it is something similar to me. I do remember someone saying about a muscle catching causing a similar pain, it’s always the left side though!

I get this sometimes. I've always thought it was due to trapped gas at top of my stomach as I usually burp not long afterwards. I don't however get it radiating to my neck.
