White / Yellow Discharge from Breast

Hi all

Really hoping for some advice. i had a baby 20 months ago, and stopped breastfeeding approximately 8 months ago. Today though, I noticed that when squeezed, my left breast (only the left) will produce (from several milk ducts) a discharge of what looks like milk but is also yellow / clear in colour.

is this normal? I suffer with anxiety so am struggling with this one and any chance it could be sinister in any way.

I can and will make an appointment with the gp, but would be really grateful for any advice in the meantime.

Thank you!x

It’s not normal but I wouldn’t panic. It does need seeing.

It took months before my milk fully went after breastfeeding (think they only dried up cos I got pregnant), it could easily be that.
I also had a pituitary tumour (it’s not cancerous and was just treated with a tablet) and that can mess with ur hormones and makes you produce milk. When I had my tumour I had no milk, but had no periods and that was the only symptom I had of it.
There are loads of other reasons obviously, but hopefully your GP will give u answers asap!

I could still squeeze liquid out of mine a couple of years after breastfeeding. If you stimulate it, it just encourages production.

Thank you for your replies. I'm pretty sure it's milk, though for those of you who had it, was it always white in colour?
