Is it Could this be Fibromyalgia or is it just my Crohn’s?

Hey everyone,

I have Crohn’s disease which I was diagnosed with around 4 years ago. I have suspected from before my diagnosis that I have fibromyalgia though when my Crohn’s was diagnosed felt it answered many of my issues. I don’t like to bother the Doctor really and with my Crohn’s I didn’t bother them until I saw blood and honestly felt terrified so I phoned. My consultant seems happy because my bowel is settled he says ‘malaise is unfortunately a common concern for people with crohn’s.’ He knows I have had to reduce my working hours (which tbh I really couldn’t afford) and I had to get an automatic car due to the pain which seemed to be aggravated by driving. He never suggests anything else it’s as if because the inflammation of my bowel is ok then that’s fine.
As far as I am aware there is no way to diagnose Fibromyalgia so how can they tell? Also feels a bit rude to go see a dr and tell them I think I have this because Google said so 🤷🏻‍♀️ They must be fed up with Armchair Doctors!

Symptoms I have are:
Muscular and joint pain (could be the Crohn’s)
Insomnia (started when taking steroids)
Fatigue (Crohn’s)
Terrible memory, confuse words eg will use hot instead of cold or sometimes can’t think of the word.
Can overreact to things like my DH or dd for example tickles me or prods me - often this feels incredibly painful and the area stays painful for a prolonged length of time.
