Cracks in nipple area anxious

Not pregnant or breastfeeding. Have had recurrent tiny fissures in L nipple over past month or so. I had put them down to exercise/sweat/chafing but wondering now why its only affecting one side. Also starting to feel a tingling burning sensation inside the breast but don't feel any unusual lumps.
I'm starting to worry about things like Pagets disease. Has anyone experienced cracks in/around their nipple like this? Could it be something hormonal? I do wonder if I'm perimenopausal (35 but started period young).

Did you see a GP about this? I have similar symptoms & wondering how things are now for you?

You need to see your GP.

I've been to the GP. I have an appointment at the breast clinic on Friday next week. It just feels like a long wait & I'm feeling really worried about it.

Sorry no I didn't follow up because it cleared up and hasn't come back. So I'm guessing the fissures were maybe exercise/sweat related (I found something called joggers nipple online) and the boob pain was probably hormonal. Hope you get to the bottom of yours, good luck x
