I went to the doctors a couple of weeks ago, had some breathlessness, crackling which went when I coughed.
He told me I had fluid on my lungs and listened to my chest for at least five minutes.
no other test apart from temperature which he said was high but from what I gather it seemed normal.
He said I had a chest infection, gave me amoxicillin said most of the time they don't work and if I'm still bad he'll give me different ones.
No explanation of amount of fluid or Which lung.
Fast forward the following week antibiotics didn't do much and I made another appointment, he spoke to me over the phone, didn't give me any other antibiotics just said he was worried about a blood clot and told me this a week week later!!!
Spoke to another doctor a few days later and she said I had pleurisy he said a chest infection he said I had 7 days of antibiotics I didn't i had five.
My question is why would he tell me one thing and document something different
Also are doctors ever wrong about fluid on the lungs, I've hardly slept and I'm in a right state.
