Should we take DD to restaurant with high temperature?

She has temp 39.2 and headache which goes down with Calpol. No other symptoms but not very hungry and less lively than normal but chatty and smiley as usual. It is our friends birthday, DD loves our friend and family.

I think she should stay at home, DH thinks we should go - mind you I always err on the side of caution and Dh errs on the side of selfishness! We are going there for 1.30

I think that there is an unwritten law that children get sick when you are going out?? My two developed a vile stomach bug 20 mins after arriving at my good friends wedding. We had driven for four and a half hours to get there and spent the wedding and reception in the hotel bathroom!!! To make it worse my good friend had upset half her family by inviting my children to a child free wedding !!

Only if you want her to be miserable.

Just because calpol is bringing the temperature down doesn't mean the poor child isn't ill. Don't take her out,.

Thanks everyone, DD tbh doesn't look that ill (atm smiling away at cbeebies) but better to be safe.
