ok feel daft asking this but for the past 2-3 days ive had a really bad itching and burning sensation around the clitoros. i havent changed my wash powder or anything like that all ive been doing is wearing always sanitary towels for about 13days due to bleeding from a miscarrige. do you think it could be the sanitary towels irritating me due to having to wear them so long? any other ideas? its driving me mad.

It could be the towels but it could also be thrush caused by hormonal changes following your pregnancy and miscarriage.

Sorry about your miscarriage.

Very sorry to hear about your mc tye. I've had what I think was a reaction to sanitary towels - try a bit of canestan in the area? And change towels. If that doesn't work, I'd see your GP. Good luck.

go and see your gp.

It could be either irritation from the towels or thrush.

I was recommended lying in bath with a little lavender oil in it to relieve the irritation from the towels (after ds)

So sorry to hear about your miscarriage.

thankyou all. think il do as you've all said and change the towels and try some canasten and il make an appointment when gp opens in the morning.

My vulva was very irritable after having dd just before Christmas. I kept thinking my bleeding had stopped and so stopped wearing pads and the itching eased. However, when the bleeding came back a couple of days later and I put pads back on, back came the itching. I think its Always and lack of fresh air because you have to wear them at night. Get a softer pad which is less plasticky.
