sore neck caused by coughing???

I am just getting over flu and have a nasty cough now every time I cough my neck hurts in an achy slept funny way
anyone else experienced this ?Or am I justa freak of nature

DD and I have both had colds followed by aching necks (but only on the left hand side)over the last week or so - I don't think we've both slept in a strange position.

I don't think so they have gone down now . It just aches and I have to sort of support it when I cough .

Mines more on the left now you mention it RB .

Oh wow, I thought it was just me who felt like this. Its like youve described me!
Mine is on left side too and I had very swollen glands on that side. Does feel like youve slept funny. Our mattress is getting on now so I just blamed that. Must just be a symptom of this cold.
