When you say last June do you mean 3 months ago, or 15 months ago?

Last June

Sounds like it’s still settling and probably disrupted by change in hormones from stopping breastfeeding.

I had mine fitted last December, bled consistently until May and have been on the mini pill too since then to settle it (which only really settled in August and I have still had a period)

So if you mean 3 months ago, it’s still settling and can bleed for around 6 months.

Kallie92 · 12/09/2024 12:55

@DustyLee123 no it’s been a year but was perfect for first 6 months until I stopped breastfeeding and then I got a bleed which I understand is normal and then been pretty constant since.

thanks @Clementine22 i think it probably is but health anxiety is very hightened and just can’t be bothered with the bleeding anymore

I bled / spotted for over a year (14 months) - every woman is different.

Now I have some spotting for a few days every 4 weeks and the other 3 weeks I would describe as light brown staining.

Everything has been checked out - ultrasound, cervix, etc.

I should also point out that I am using Mirena as part of my HRT and I am well over 50.

Perhaps Mirena just isn't for you at this stage.

I bled on the mirena so changed to mini pill - bad idea as was still constant and much heavier. Currently waiting for a copper coil, I don't see the point in taking hormones when they make things worse
