Scan found mass on ovary though CA125 clear. Have classic ovarian cancer symptoms but aware they can have many causes other than cancer. Waiting for next scan to be arranged.
Just wanting a (small) handhold. Appreciate people's similar experiences. Thanks.x

Holding your hand here. I'm keeping all crossed for you. What are the next steps the NhS takes? I live overseas and going through similar (breast not ovary) so process/speed is different I guess.

Was it a cyst as they're very common and usually not sinister? What have they said will happen next?

MrsPelligrinoPetrichor · 10/09/2024 14:53

Are you waiting for an MRI next?

Ilovehimbut · 10/09/2024 15:27

Very grateful for responses. Thank you . MRI next . Not sure how long the wait. Appreciate may be a cyst of course. Anxiety not helped by fear of hospitals! Cannot sleep, cannot settle and trying to get on with normal stuff. Also aware of pointlessness of worrying. Husband aware but children (all adult) not. Have childcare responsibilities for GC and panicking about who would take over.

Try not to jump ahead, take each day as it comes and keep busy and distract yourself, go for a walk when it gets too much.

Get the MRI out of the way and then you'll know what's what.

I loathe hospitals but just had a procedure for something similar and it wasn't he worst thing and am recovering nicely now. One day at a time x
