Extremely sore throat and fluctuating body temp

Hi all, I've had a VERY sore throat for over a week now, I have been to the doctors last week to cross out tonsillitis or strep throat.
Pain killers only take off the edge but overall my throat still hurts like a b#tch.
My temp overall has been normal (my normal being 36.6/7) but as of a day and a bit ago I have had waves of extreme sweating, clammy skin but my temp has been between 35.8 and 36.2
I haven't had a fever or high temp whilst my throat has been in agony.
Other symptoms I've had are feeling slightly sick, bad headaches, tiredness.
I have another doc app later today, my throat doesn't seem to be getting better AT ALL. And I'm sick and tired of being in pain.

Covid. Exactly the same symptoms as my current bout.

I tested negative for covid, I did think it was that..
It's mostly my low body temp and how red and swollen my throat is 😔

I'm unwell with gripey stomach, tired and sore throat

I was told there are lots of new strains of covid which don't respond to the tests me have.

Might be reflux from your stomach making your throat sore

I couldn't believe how sore it can make it! I thought I had tonsillitis it was so painful but a week on lansoprazole and it cleared it up

Did the doctors actually swab for strep throat? My husband and I had it back and forth for months and it was only when they finally took a swab and tested me that they gave us both antibiotics. That cleared it up for good.
