I had COVID in the summer, have a bad cough

I had COVID in the summer time. I had a cough with it. Since then I have a cough. Sometimes it's nothing and mild and other times intense.

My doctor thinks it's reflux and prescribed reflux meds.

I'm due to fly and go away tomorrow and I had some intense fits of coughing over the past week. I am dreading this happening again.

Is there anything I can get to help this aside from the reflux stuff. Would sudafed help? Just in case I get a coughing fit on the flight. Just in case I get ill abroad.

Reflux is common after covid, I had it bad last year. There’s a good book: The Acid Watcher Diet. If you’re going away, it might be a good idea to take the acid reflux medication. Acid reflux does a lot of unseen damage. I took the meds for awhile, and also followed the diet, I was then able to come off the medication.
