Under rib pain

Anyone able to help please?

For the last 3/4 weeks I've had a pain in my side/back, under my left ribs. It's a burning pain, and I'm taking pain killers to try and manage the pain. I can't get comfortable, can't lay down properly, and it's making me miserable.

Over the last few days, it has now started a pins and needles sensation there.

Any ideas what this could be? Thank you ☺️

Hiw old are you? I’d consider cardiac or indigestion. I think a chat with 111 would be better, or straight to A&E if you think cardiac.

Heartburn, ulcer, kidney, pancreas, intercostal neuralgia......these are the options I'd consider

Does anything help ease it?

Hi, have you been lifting anything heavy or done any strenuous exercise? When you cough does it hurt? If it affect the chest as well, some say it is costochondritis. Male and female. This comes and goes on its own. Ask GP to check to be sure if anything else wrong with your health or phone 111 for reassurance. I'm not sure about your age. One of Peri/menopause symptoms occurs in women with left ribs, breast pain. Read it in a menopause chat forum, post. Hope you can find answers, let us know. Take care. 😉
