I fractured mine 8 years ago.

Still plays me up when I have to sit for too long.

My GP said the only thing you can do is avoid sitting for too long, and take regular painkillers.

Not terribly oops, just aches when I have to sit for a while (eg on a course or something) and it got worse when I was pregnant. Apparently the way your spine moves when pregnant can aggravate it.

I know you oops. Getting a lovely picture of you doing a mud assault course and you have my utmost admiration.

You poor thing though - ouch. My sister injured her coccyx at school years ago and it took a long time to heal. I know she's wary of it now, but afaik, it doesn't trouble her anymore. Just keep firing in the painkillers and don't sit too long. Oooooooooh

I slipped down the stairs (wooden no stair carpet), and banged down the last 3 or 4 on my coccyx. Had the same dx as everyone else at docs, and basically it took a year for me to be able to sit properly. I was working in a call centre 2 nights a week at the time and had to stand up for my whole 9 hour shift!!!! However, must admit that it very rarely bothers me now 7 years later, unless, like sidge, I'm sitting on a hard surface for a long period of time. my sympathies.

I banged mine going down a very sleep slide with DD 2 years ago, and tbh does hurt sometimes when I have been sitting down for too long, especially on long journeys in the but only hursts as I go to get up, not sitting or afte rI have got up..

I dont think there is anythign you can do about it but hope you feel better soonest...

I badly bruised mine once, if not broke it. They wouldn't look because they said there was nothing they could do if it WAS broken! Rest was all that they could say. Mine hurt for years if I sat in one position for too long. It was bloody agony when I did it (slipped on hard stairs and landed on a stair corner) - I think I actually blacked out for a few seconds .
