Sterilisation

Has anyone else had it done?
I have mine booked and it's totaly what I want but I'm interested in afterwards....
Does it hurt, if so, how much?
Basically I'm a single Mum to a 6yr old so will I be OK to look after her?

have they not insisted on counceling and given you a clear idea of recovery time after the operation? this is something I think they should do...

had mine done under ga 5 years ago, in and out ina day, back to normal after 3 days, no real problems

Poodlepusher, no, but I don't need counselling. I should have been offerred it but the guy was too busy telling me that I should have a baby if I get together with a guy, regardless of my feelings.
Being told I should have a baby for any guy I might meet amused me... It made me shout, it got me what I want but really, trying to make me have a baby for someone else?
I should report him. How dare he suggest or worse(as he did) try to make me feel bad for not having another baby.
He at least signed the forms and I'll ask at my first appointment on May 14th.
I won't go through with anyone touching me if I get a not nice doctor.
God, now I'm scared, I'm saying nothing, I guess nothing happens, it's all OK, I'm just paranoid

Boy that was insensitive of him and completely warped. I think he should be reported. Good for you for shouting!
